Next project
I wasn't exactly sure if this next project would be interesting to me, and turns out I am having a lot of fun building the prototypes and expanding my creativity!

Cool Word Idea
This would have been a cool idea to do for the word project we did in class, if we didn't have to leave the words up for people to view. Love the shadow.

Toothpaste Redesign
The project is due tomorrow! I had a blast working with my team to recreate the toothpaste tube. We had good teamwork and all got along really well. We all had great ideas for the redesign and it all meshed well really nicely. I am very happy with the overall project and had so much fun creating it!
Reflection of The Writer's Toolbox
The Writer's Toolbox really helped me and my group set up a mind map and brainstorm how we could redesign our object to make it more efficient and useful. The Writer's Toolbox taught us how to set up a map of ideas and really expanded our creativity.
Summary of IDEO Movie
I thought that the IDEO movie gave our group a good understanding on how to make a prototype and how a group can work together to recreate an object. The video was interesting and fun to watch to see the process it takes to get to the actual recreation of an object and how much work it takes to get to the final product.

Reflection on my Poster
I was happy overall with my poster. The process getting up to the poster was a bit of a hassle, but it all paid off in the end. I felt like my poster was well-ballanced and the font went nicely with the style of my object.
Don Norman's Video
I really agree with what he is saying in this video. He mentioned things that I never really realized and opened my eye up to good design and how good design makes us feel.
Dieter Rams 10 Ways to Good Design
I thought Dieter Rams ideas were very true and efficient. He seemed to list all the key qualities in design and really simplify it for the reader. I think some of the most important components he listed off were that it has to be useful and use as little design possible.

My Well-Designed Object
For this project I am drawing a book light. The book light has a very abstract shape, and looks very futuristic. the light bulb is round, and can turn on a light that is red or white. it is held in place by two sides and the book light can bend in any direction you might need it to. The clip for the book is also rounded. My object is well-designed because it is very different from normal book lights and has a fun and distinctive shape to it.
